Dornier History & Location

Dornier Wine Estate is situated at the foot of Stellenbosch Mountain just 10 minutes drive from Stellenbosch itself, in the famous wine sub-region known as ‘The Golden Triangle’.

The focus at Dornier lies on the production of premium quality red and white wines that are expressive of the unique terroir of the area. Ancient decomposed granite soils found on cool, south facing slopes lead to the production of elegant wines of complex structure. Dornier’s iconic cellar has a 500-ton production capacity and is complemented by a state-of-the-art wine tasting facility.

Blaauwklippen Valley, probably the most sought-after valley of Stellenbosch, offers a combination of wild beauty, vineyards and proximity to important cultural, business, educational and recreational centres. It makes for an ideal overnight stay in one of the nearby independently-run cottages at Mont Angelis Retreat.
