In Their Words

Cape Point Vineyards History & Location

Welcome to Cape Point Vineyards, a family owned, female-driven vineyard which is uniquely located in the southern Cape Town suburb of Noordhoek on the Cape Peninsula. Here our vines nestle rather majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range, overlooking the nearby Atlantic Ocean just a mere 1.2 kilometres away.

Cool sea breezes along with ancient mountain soils make for a unique terroir with a late growing season that results in a world class Sauvignon Blanc that is recognised across the globe for its rich minerality, structure and tone.

Join us for a tasting of our award-winning wines, a meal in our outdoor restaurant which boasts mountain and ocean views, a picnic, or during the warmer summer months, our weekly popular Community Market. The Estate features lush lawns and a scenic dam making it the ideal destination for family and friends.

Cape Point Vineyards Wine Tasting

Join us at the Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room and discover an evolution of Sauvignon Blanc as your senses travel with us from the fruit-forward flavours of the lower vineyard blocks to the extreme complexities and minerality of our yield higher up on the mountain.

To demonstrate the complex potential of the Sauvignon Blanc grape and to tantalize the palates of Sauvignon Blanc enthusiasts, we focus on four different styles: a traditional Sauvignon Blanc, a coastal style Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc, a Reserve Sauvignon Blanc and Isliedh, a blend with Semillon.

Wine Tasting Prices

Our Wine Flight costs R50pp and includes our Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc, Reserve Sauvignon Blanc and Isliedh. Add on our Old Vintage Chardonnay for R30pp.

We also offer a 3 Wine and Oyster Pairing for R120pp, or guests can add individual wine pairing plates, including sample items such as Blue Cheese & Bacon Salad or Salmon Trout for R110 per plate. A Cheese Board is also available for R130.

Cape Point Vineyards Restaurants

Visitors are spoiled for choice with a selection of outdoor dining spaces at Cape Point Vineyards. These includes the main Restaurant, with its breathtaking ocean and mountain views, the open air Courtyard overlooking the lawns and jungle gym (weekends only), or you can indulge in our hugely popular year round Picnics, which can be enjoyed on our lawns.

Menus & Pricing

At the Restaurant, expect items such as Soft Shell Crab, Beef Tartare, Peri Peri Prawns, Corn Chowder, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Crispy Pork Belly, plus salads and a selection of desserts and cheeses. Main courses from R150pp. Cape Point Vineyards do occasionally offer a weekday 2 course special – please check online for details.

At The Courtyard (open weekends), options usually include small tapas plates, cheese and charcuterie boards, burgers, fish and chips, pizzas, plus a kids’ menu is available. Main courses from R110.

In our Picnic Hampers, our ‘starter kits’ typically include cheeses and a cold meat, bread, olives, a salad and seasonal grapes. Cape Point Vineyards Tours & Activities

Currently Cape Point Vineyards do not offer cellar or farm tours.

Placed firmly on the bucket list of “Cape Town To Do’s” by sources such as The Inside Guide, Cape Town Magazine and Travel Start, Cape Point Vineyards Community Market has become a must visit. This weekly pop-up summer market hosted in our Restaurant & Function Venue boasts an idyllic lakeside setting overlooking our stunningly scenic vineyards, Noordhoek’s mountain range and the nearby sea. Open during the summer season only.

With its lush lawns, beautiful dam and spectacular ocean and mountain views, Cape Point Vineyards are understandably hugely popular for weddings. In addition to outside space, our wedding reception hall can easily accommodate 100-200 guests for a seated dinner with a dance floor. Contact us to discuss our wedding packages which include exclusive use of the function hall, wooden deck, as well as our immaculate picnic lawns and wooden jetty. We can also provide for all your catering and bar requirements.
