Arra Vineyards History & Location
Situated in the heart of South Africa’s Cape Winelands north of Stellenbosch, Arra Vineyards enjoys an ideal location where we grow, produce and bottle all our wines. The Klapmuts Mountain provides us with an abundance of water and shelters us from the Cape’s south-easterly winds, while providing our vines with ideal soils and north facing slopes for ample sunshine.
The 74 hectare farm is under 30 hectares of vines, comprising of Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Ruby Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz and Pinotage. Using only the finest French oak barrels, our wines are matured for up to 24 months, while being constantly monitored to maintain their deep, fruity flavours and creamy textures.
At Arra Vineyards we are dedicated to ensure that our wines reach maturity in the bottle before we release them for sale.
Arra Vineyards Operating Hours
Wine Tasting: open daily 10am-5pm (last tastings 1 hour prior).
Cellar Tours: available Mon to Fri, subject to availability (must be pre-booked).

Arra Vineyards Wine Tasting
The Arra Tasting Room is situated at the heart of the estate, within the vineyards and beside the maturation cellar. We have magnificent views of Paarl Mountain, the Franschhoek Valley and the Simonsberg Mountains. In addition to wines by the glass or bottle, a gourmet food platter is available.
Wine Tasting Prices
Wine tasting costs R45pp for 5 wines of your choice. A gourmet food platter for 2 is available, including cheese and meats for R220.
Arra Vineyards Restaurants
Please note although Arra offer a gourmet food platter, there is no full service restaurant at the farm. There are however numerous restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive.
Arra Vineyards Tours & Activities
Should you be interested in a Cellar Tour, these are potentially available on weekdays when Arra’s winemaker is based on the farm. These must be pre-booked, so please contact the farm to arrange. There is no charge.
