Allée Bleue History & Location
Allée Bleue offers visitors a unique experience – world-class wines, fruit and herbs, stunning event spaces, a bistro and picnic venue, warm hospitality, historic charm and contemporary art – surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Franschhoek Valley.
The Dauphin family have set the benchmark with Allée Bleue. The uncompromising approach produces a range of internationally award-winning wines with distinct character, carefully crafted to create the perfect drinking experience.
This estate boasts picturesque scenery ranging from the majestic Drakenstein mountain range, vineyards and lavender with age old meadows. When visiting the farm, you will immediately experience an unmistakable French vibrancy, seeing that it is after all on the door step of Franschhoek’s historic town, which is South Africa’s own taste of France.

We have two historic properties available for overnight guests to the estate: Kendall Cottage and The Manor House – both beautifully restored and enhanced by striking artworks.
The Kendall Cottage, a historic residence dating back to 1920, is a luxurious retreat for newlyweds, business guests or small groups. Decorated in a sophisticated palette of blues and neutrals and featuring a striking collection of modern art, Kendal Cottage offers two generous suites linked by a spacious living room. A private terrace overlooking lavender and rosemary fields offers the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch.
The Manor House has a series of elegant dining and reception rooms. Upstairs, the original storage barn has been sympathetically converted to provide two luxurious private suites. Outdoors, there is a terrace and walled garden with lawns edged in iceberg roses and lavender – and beyond, a citrus orchard and herb garden. The Manor House has a suite that may be hired for use during the day as a wedding venue, conference or business meeting venue.
